Abstract:
An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a display; a wireless communication circuit in communication with an external virtual assistant server; a processor operatively connected to the display; and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory includes at least one instruction that, when the electronic device is executed, is set to cause the processor to select content included in a screen displayed by the display, acquire at least one input signal corresponding to a user input for inputting a preset symbol for the content, control the wireless communication circuit such that a command corresponding to the selected content and the preset symbol is transmitted to the virtual assistant server, control the wireless communication circuit such that input parameters corresponding to the content and application execution information corresponding to the command are received, as an analysis result of the virtual assistant server, through the wireless communication circuit from the virtual assistant server, and provide a result of applying the input parameters to at least one application according to the received input parameters and the application execution information. Other various embodiments are possible.
