Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device and method for providing information related to the skin type of an object. An electronic device for determining the skin type of an object comprises: a camera for photographing at least one image including a skin portion and a non-skin portion of an object; and a processor for determining at least one color ratio between the skin portion and the non-skin portion from the at least one image, and determining the skin type of the object on the basis of the determined color ratio.
