Abstract:
According to various embodiments, an electronic device comprise a memory, at least one processor, and a plurality of subscriber identity modules (SIMs) that are selectively connectable to the at least one processor, wherein the at least one processor: confirms SIM switching conditions set for the reception of a short message service (SMS) message and stored in the memory; performs control so that, at least on the basis of the confirmed SIM switching conditions, a connection with a first SIM that is in the currently connected state from among the plurality of SIMs is cut off and a connection is made to a second SIM that is in a connectionless state from among the plurality of SIMs; and can perform control so that the SMS message is received, in response to the connection of the second SIM, from a communication network corresponding to the second SIM. Other various embodiments are possible.
