Abstract:
An electronic device according to various embodiments can identify an external object moving on a second plane by using a sensor arranged on the second plane, which is distinct from a first surface on which a display such as an HR sensor is arranged. A function of changing the display of a user interface, multimedia content, and the like can be executed in response to movement of the identified external object. The electronic device can select, from among a plurality of functions, a function to be performed in response to movement of the external object on the basis of the moving direction of the external object, the distance between the external object and the sensor, and the like.
