Abstract:
According to embodiments, disclosed are an electronic device and an operation method thereof. An electronic device according to one embodiment, comprises: a camera, a display, a communication interface, a memory for storing one or more instructions, and a processor for executing the one or more instructions stored in the memory, wherein the processor generates an event which instructs a plurality of markers to be displayed on a screen of a display device, by executing one or more instructions, so as to transmit to the display device; on the basis of the recognition of the plurality of markers displayed on the screen of the display device according to the generated event, determines an image to extract at least a part of a wall surface around the display device, from among images obtained from a camera; extracts, from the determined image, an area corresponding to the shape obtained on the basis of the plurality of recognized markers; generates a background image to be displayed on the screen of the display device by correcting an image of the extracted area; and transmits the generated background image to the display device so that the generated background image can be displayed on the screen of the display device.
