Abstract:
An electronic device of the present invention comprises: a main body having a functional unit including a display; and a power supply device capable of supplying power to the functional unit of the main body, wherein the main body includes: a power connection unit to which the power supply device can be connected; and a power circuit having a power factor compensating unit capable of compensating for a power factor of power input from the power supply device connected through the power connection unit, and the power supply device includes: a cord connection unit capable of receiving an input of an AC voltage; a rectifying unit for rectifying the AC voltage input through the cord connection unit into a DC voltage; a switching unit connected to the rectifying unit; and a switching control unit for turning on or off the switching unit so that the rectified DC voltage is selectively supplied to the power circuit through the power connection unit.
