Abstract:
An electronic device according to one embodiment comprises a processor and a memory, wherein the memory can store instructions such that when executed, the processor, in a first operation when the electronic device is connected to a first external accessory device through a connector, receives at least one first ID from the first external accessory device by means of the connector, renders a first screen including a plurality of first icons for application programs in the memory, and provides data related with the first screen by means of the connector to an external display through the first external accessory device and, in a second operation when the electronic device is connected to a second external accessory device by means of the connector, receives at least one second ID, which is the same type as the first ID, from the second external accessory device by means of the connector, receives at least one third ID, which is a type different from that of the first ID, from the second external accessory device by means of the connector, renders, on the basis of at least a part of the third ID, a second screen including a plurality of second icons for application programs in the memory, and provides, data related with the second screen by means of the connector to the external display device through the second external accessory device.
