Abstract:
According to an embodiment, an electronic device (101) may comprise a communication circuit (190; 202), a memory (130; 206), a display (160; 210), and at least one processor (120; 204) operatively connected to the communication circuit, the memory, and the display. The at least one processor may be configured to: perform a first discovery operation through the communication circuit upon identifying a first request to start a discovery service; display, through the display, a first discovery result including information regarding at least one external electronic device (102; 300) acquired according to the first discovery operation; confirm whether the first discovery result includes information regarding a configured external electronic device upon identifying a request to end the discovery service; perform a second discovery operation through the communication circuit upon confirming that the first discovery result includes information regarding the configured external electronic device; and store, in the memory, a second discovery result including information regarding at least one external electronic device acquired according to the second discovery operation. Other embodiments may be possible.
