Abstract:
An electronic device is disclosed. The present electronic device comprises a communication interface and a processor. The processor: on the basis of information about at least one management item of an external apparatus, which has been received from the external apparatus via the communication interface, identifies whether or not a user's management work is required for the management item; when it is identified that the management work is required, acquires a message for requesting the user's management work for the management item; on the basis of information about the state of the external apparatus, which has been received from the external apparatus via the communication interface, identifies whether or not the state of the external apparatus is a preset state corresponding to the management work; and, when it is identified that the state of the external apparatus is the preset state, provides the message to the user.
