Abstract:
Various embodiments relate to a method for recognizing an object, and an electronic device therefor. An electronic device comprises: a memory for storing reference data about at least one object; a communication interface capable of performing beamforming; and a processor operatively connected to the memory and the communication interface, wherein the processor can be configured to select at least one channel from among a plurality of channels within a plurality of frequency bands, control the communication interface so as to transmit at least one signal including one from among a plurality of sequences, which are orthogonal to each other, in the at least one selected channel, control the communication interface so as to receive at least one signal reflected by the object in the at least selected one channel, acquire data related to the object on the basis of the at least one transmitted signal and the at least one received signal, and identify the object by using the data related to the object and the reference data about at least one object. Other embodiments are also possible.
