Abstract:
The present invention is directed at more effectively using a standby screen. A cell phone according to the present invention has a display unit (11) and a control unit (36) that controls the display of the display unit (11). The control unit (36) acquires information relating to the processing of an application program running in the background. The control unit (36) then repeatedly runs an operation that displays the acquired information as additional information on the display unit (11). This operation enables the latest information relating to the processing of the application program running on the background to be displayed on the display unit (11).
