Abstract:

An electronic device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a sensor module, a communication module, and a processor, wherein the processor may: determine, on the basis of the sensor module or a user's input, whether or not an emergency situation has occurred; if it is determined that the emergency situation has occurred, generate an emergency message related to the emergency situation; select, from among preset recipients, a recipient to receive the emergency message; and send the emergency message to an electronic device of the selected recipient by a phone call or text.
