Abstract:

An embodiment of the present disclosure discloses an apparatus capable of executing a function corresponding to a user command generated through a voice input according to utterance of a user, and a processing method therefor. An apparatus (e.g., an electronic device or a server) for supporting a voice recognition service, according to various embodiments, includes a memory and a voice recognition apparatus operably connected to the memory, wherein the voice recognition apparatus may provide a first response result related to first utterance of a user, end a session related to the first utterance, receive and obtain second utterance of the user after the session related to the first utterance is ended, obtain a second response result related to processing of the second utterance, determine whether to process the second utterance as follow-up utterance associated with the first utterance on the basis of the second response result, in response to determining to process the follow-up utterance, reprocess the second utterance on the basis of information related to the first utterance, obtain a third response result related to the reprocessing of the second utterance, and control the third response result to be provided. Various embodiments are possible.
