Abstract:
A tablet computer (an example of this electronic device) is provided with: a fixed cover (11) and a movable cover (12) that constitute areas adjacent to each other on the back surface of a casing for housing electronic components; a hinge shaft (23) that is disposed between a front edge (11t) and a back edge (12t), adjacent to each other, of the fixed cover (11) and the movable cover (12) and that supports the movable cover (12) so as to be rotatable around the back edge (12t) side; and a first mounting plate (21) that rotatably supports the hinge shaft (23). The first mounting plate (21) is movably mounted on an internal chassis (10A) to which the fixed cover (11) is fixed, such that the hinge shaft (23) is movable in a direction away from the front edge (11t) of the fixed cover (11).
