Title:
ELECTRONIC DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2023/084354
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is an electronic device having a novel configuration. The electronic device has a display device, a computation unit, and a line-of-sight detection unit. The display device has: a display unit that is divided into a plurality of sub-display sections; a plurality of gate driver circuits; and a plurality of source driver circuits. One gate driver circuit and one source driver circuit are electrically connected to one sub-display section. Each of the plurality of sub-display sections has a plurality of pixel circuits and a plurality of light-emitting elements. The line-of-sight detection unit has a function for detecting the line-of-sight of a user. The computation unit has a function for allocating, by using the detection results from the line-of-sight detection unit, each of the plurality of sub-display sections into a first area or a second area. The gate driver circuits included in the second area output selection signals for setting, as a first period, a period in which the light-emitting elements are turned on in the period of one frame; the gate driver circuits included in the first area output selection signals for setting, as a second period, a period in which the light-emitting elements are turned on in the period of one frame; and the first period is shorter than the second period.
