Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to enable, for example, written information that is input to an electronic device such as a tablet PC to be erased in accordance with the intent of a user. A pointing device (1) is secured inside a housing (2) such that a tip-end portion (55a) of a core body (55) is separated by a prescribed distance from an outer surface of a base surface (3a) and an outer surface of a side surface (3b) of an erasing part (3), and such that pressure applied to the erasing part (3) is transmitted to the core body (55). When the erasing part is brought into contact with an operation surface of the electronic device with the housing (2) being inclined relative to the operation surface, a corner part formed by the base surface (3a) and side surface (3b) of the erasing part (3) contacts the operation surface, and there are output information indicating the pressure applied to the erasing part (3) and a position indication signal from the pointing device (1).
