Abstract:
An electronic fence detection method and an electronic device. A first electronic device obtains a first coordinate by means of a positioner at a first time point, determines the shortest distance between the first electronic device and an electronic fence boundary according to the first coordinate (S102), and detects the straight-line distance between the current location of the first electronic device and the first coordinate beginning from the first time point (S103), and triggers the first electronic device to execute the GPS positioning (namely the GPS positioner obtains the coordinate) until it is detected that the difference between the straight-line distance and the shortest distance is greater than or equal to a preset condition. In this process, the GPS positioning is triggered by comparing the displacement and the shortest distance of the electronic device, unnecessary work of the positioner is reduced, and the purpose of reducing the power consumption for detecting the electronic fence detection by the first electronic device is realized.
