Abstract:
An electronic instrument (2) comprises an instrument body (4), and a stand (6) that supports the instrument body (4). The stand (6) has: a base (18); a sticking member (24) positioned facing the bottom surface (18a) of the base (18), the sticking member (24) having a sticking surface (54a) that sticks to a placement surface (16a) by negative pressure generated in a gap (64) from the placement surface (16a), ventilation holes (60) that communicate with the gap (64) being formed in the sticking member (24); and a slide valve (30) positioned between the base (18) and the sticking member (24), the slide valve sliding along the bottom surface (18a) of the base (18) between an open position in which the ventilation holes (60) are open in order to cause air to flow into the gap (64), and a closed position in which the ventilation holes (60) are closed in order to block the inflow of air into the gap (64). When the slide valve (30) is in the closed position, if external force is applied to the stand (6) in the direction moving away from the placement surface (16a), the sticking member (24) elastically deforms in the direction moving away from the placement surface (16a), whereby negative pressure is generated in the gap (64).
