Abstract:
An electronic key system for enabling the user of a vehicle to check the operation
of a vehicle equipped with a vehicle apparatus (21) and the history of the operation
of an attached device equipped in the vehicle, a portable radio machine, and a
vehicle managing method. The electronic key system comprises a vehicle (20),
a portable telephone (30) having an electronic key function on an electronic
key including ID information unique to a vehicle apparatus (21), and a transmission
destination device (40) so previously set that the history information received
from the vehicle (20) by the portable telephone (30) is transmitted to the transmission
destination device (40). The vehicle apparatus (21) has a function of comparing
the ID information serving as an electronic key that the portable radio machine
(30) has with reference ID information that the vehicle apparatus (21) has; if
both information agrees, allowing the vehicle (20) and/or the attached device
to perform a first operation; if the ID information cannot be detected, allowing
the vehicle and/or the attached device to perform a second operation; and transmitting
the history information about the first and second operations to the portable
telephone (30).
