Abstract:
An electronic key system, wherein an electronic key (20) and/or a vehicle-side device (10) is provided with a communication device (24), a storage unit (25), and a determining unit (S480). When a vehicle door is locked, the storage unit acquires position information from a position information terminal (30) through the communication device, and stores information pertaining to an unlock permission range based on the position information. When wireless communication is performed between the electronic key and the vehicle-side device in order to unlock the vehicle door, the determining unit acquires the location information from the location information terminal through the communication device, and determines whether or not the location information belongs within the unlock permission range. When the determining unit determines that the location of the electronic key does not belong to the unlock permission range, the vehicle door is not unlocked.
