Abstract:
Provided is an electronic key for a vehicle, the key having: an upper case component (30) of a key housing (10); a lower case component attachable to the upper case component; and mechanical keys, one of which may be selected, consisting of a first mechanical key (40) configured so as to be removed entirely from the key housing when used, and a second mechanical key (50) configured so as to be in a protruding state in which the key partially protrudes from the key housing when used. For the lower case component, one component corresponding to a mechanical key is selected from among a first lower case component (60) for removably accommodating the first mechanical key and a second lower case component (70) for housing the second mechanical key so that the key can transition to the protruding state. Due to the foregoing configuration, an electronic key for a vehicle, having a design that satisfies the needs of both a user who primarily uses a wireless communication key, and a user who primarily uses a mechanical key, can be provided at low cost.
