Description:
ELECTRONIC POLLEN COLLECTION SYSTEM

TECHNICAL FIELD

The invention prevents the loss of offspring due to the inability to feed the offspring due to the pollen traps remaining open for a long time during the pollen production in the beekeeping sector, prevents the situations in which the pollen trap is opened at the wrong humidity range, at the wrong temperature range and in rainy weather, which would negatively affect the feeding of the offspring, and facilitates the beekeepers’ pollen collection activities by automatically open and close at the desired date and time.

STATE OF THE ART

The pollen collection activities in beekeeping have been carried out with the pollen traps for many years. However, the pollen traps are the stationary systems that can only be opened and closed manually and cannot be controlled remotely. Referring to the utility model applications with the application numbers 2021/004728 and 2018/00258 on the website of the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, both applications appear to be the manual systems, either electrical or non-electronic, for improving the existing pollen traps. The developed system is an electronic system that can open and close the pollen trap with a servo motor or solenoid coil, and it is obvious that these systems will not prevent the patenting of the electronic pollen collection system.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION

1. The object of the invention is to prevent the pollen collection at the temperatures not desired by the user by automatically closing the pollen trap at the temperatures outside the temperature range desired by the user.

2. The object of the invention is to prevent the bee losses by automatically closing the pollen trap after the predetermined maximum open time is elapsed in order to prevent the pollen trap, which is left open during the pollen collection activities, from preventing the feeding of the young bees and consequently to prevent the loss of the young bees. 3. The object of the invention is to prevent the pollen collection outside the humidity range not desired by the user by automatically closing the pollen trap, if it is open, when the humidity ranges predetermined by the user are exceeded.

4. The object of the invention is to provide the beekeeper to collect the pollen by opening the pollen trap without the need for the beekeeper to go near the hive at the predetermined dates and times, and then closing it automatically after remaining open for a predetermined time, without the need for the beekeeper to go near the hive.

5. The object of the invention is to provide the beekeeper to collect the pollen without going near the hive by the remote control with the WIFI and GSM modules thereon.

6. The object of the invention is to protect the bees from the negative effects of the rain by closing the pollen trap, if it is open, in case of rain.

7. The object of the invention is to carry out the balanced and traceable pollen collection activities, to prevent the wrong pollen collection activities that may harm the in-hive works of the bees, and to maximize the yield.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The invention is guided by a pollen trap guide (2) thereon; this system has keys, a screen, an electronic card and a temperature sensor, humidity sensor, rain sensor (6) connected to this card, WIFI module, GSM module, date and time integration and servo motors (5). The pollen trap can be controlled by means of both the keys thereon and the desktop, web and mobile applications by connecting to the Internet with the WIFI and GSM modules thereon. According to the date, time, temperature and humidity information entered by the user by means of the keys or applications, if it is not raining, the pollen trap is opened, and it remains open for the time specified by the user, and while the pollen trap is open, the pollen trap is automatically closed in case of rain before the specified time is elapsed. If desired, the pollen trap can be set to be opened and closed at the desired periods and at the desired time intervals by means of the keys or applications. The pollen trap is opened and closed by means of two servo motors (5) fixed on the lower body (4), the electronic card inside the pollen trap guide (2) rotates the servo motors (5) clockwise, the gear wheels (7) attached to the motors push the rack gears (8) upwards, and the rack gears (8) moving upwards provide the pollen trap slide (9) to slide upwards, and the pollen trap entrance is opened. After the pollen trap is opened, the bees enter through this entrance and the purpose of the bees entering the pollen trap is to take the pollen into the hive and feed the larvae and young bees. However, in order to pass from the pollen trap to the hive, they must pass through the plate with the narrow holes at the top of the pollen trap, and as the holes are very narrow, the bees drop the pollen down during this transition.

The pollen falling down passes through the sieve with the holes too small for the bees to pass at the bottom of the pollen trap and falls into the pollen collection container under the sieve, thus the pollen is collected. During closing, the electronic card inside the pollen trap guide (2) rotates the servo motors (5) counterclockwise, and the pollen trap slide (9) slides down, and the pollen trap entrance is closed. It should be noted here that the opening and closing operations can also be performed by means of a solenoid coil instead of the servo motor (5).

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention, titled “ELECTRONIC POLLEN COLLECTION SYSTEM”, which was mentioned in detail above, can be produced, used and applied in any field of the industry.
