Abstract:
A POS device (2) that generates electronic receipts, in a format including clearance information indicating discounts, and causes an electronic receipt center (3) to save same. When there has been an enquiry from a mobile terminal (1) about the existence of a nearby store for which the sale of a clearance item from a specified product range is predicted, the electronic receipt center (3): searches saved electronic receipts; extracts electronic receipts for the purchase of clearance items relating to a specified product range in stores in the vicinity of the current location of the mobile terminal (1); classifies same by store, by season, and by time slot; generates, as clearance prediction information predicting discounted sale, information including a discount rate and the clearance items for which the season matches the current season and for which the start of the clearance sale falls within a preset time from the present time; and sends this clearance prediction information to the mobile terminal (1) that is the source of the enquiry.
