Abstract:
This receipt processing device comprises a determination unit, a digitization unit, and a transmission unit. The determination unit determines whether receipt data generated by a receipt generation unit is for a transaction receipt representing the content of a commercial transaction, or for a non-transaction receipt representing the content of something other than a commercial transaction. If the receipt data is for a transaction receipt, the digitization unit adds first category information and digitizes the receipt data, and if the receipt data is for a non-transaction receipt, the digitization unit adds second category information differing from the first category information and digitizes the receipt data. The transmission unit transmits the receipt data digitized by the digitization unit to a server.
