Abstract:
When no commodity information can be received from a server device, the power consumption is suppressed.  An electronic shelf label (300-1) has a transmission unit (302) which transmits a registration request signal to the server device.  A transmission interval specification unit (308) stepwise increases the transmission interval of the registration request signal in accordance with the time length of a non-synchronous state during which no response signal is received in response to the registration request signal transmitted to the server device.  A terminal state request signal generation unit (305) generates a terminal state request signal to transmit terminal state information to other electronic shelf label.  A transmission unit (302) transmits the generated terminal state request signal.  Upon reception of the terminal state request signal, the other electronic shelf label transmits terminal state information.  Upon reception of the terminal state information, the electronic shelf label (300-1) updates the time length of the non-synchronous state during which no response signal is received, in accordance with the received terminal state information.
