Abstract:
An electronic security system, comprising an electronic bracelet (200) and a further electronic device (10, 50), which are worn by a user (1A, 1B) and which are connected to each other and with one or more servers (201) of a company specialized in providing information services (200B) to which the user (1A, 1B) is registered; the electronic bracelet (200) can be associated with the electronic device (10, 50) by means of a transmission between the corresponding Bluetooth chips (13, 33), so that the company specialized in information services (200B) is able to send notifications and/or security voice messages to all users (1A, 1B) who are in a predefined area and to identify the users (1A, 1B) present within the predefined area thanks to their geo-location; each user (1A, 1B) is also able to send alarm messages to the specialized company (200B) and to send requests for news and/or information or requests for assistance.

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. An electronic security system comprising an electronic bracelet (200) and an electronic device (10, 50) which are worn by a user (1A, IB) and which are connected together and with one or more servers (201) of a company providing information services (200B) to which said user (1A, IB) is registered, wherein said electronic bracelet (200) is provided with a button (201), a display (202), an electronic circuit (31) with a microprocessor (32) and a system software, a Bluetooth chip (33), a GPS sensor (34), a heart rate sensor (35) , a gyro sensor (36) and a rechargeable battery (40), while said electronic device (10, 50) is provided with an electronic circuit (11, 51) with a microprocessor (12, 52) and a system software, a Bluetooth chip (13, 53), a GPS sensor (14, 54), a SIM (15, 55), an Internet connection (16, 56), a gyro sensor (20, 60), speakers (17, 57), a microphone (19, 59), a motion sensor (18, 58) and a rechargeable battery (40) , characterized in that said electronic bracelet (200) is associated with said electronic device (10, 50) by means of a Bluetooth transmission through the Bluetooth chips (13, 33), so that said company providing information services (200B) is able to send notifications and/or voice messages to all users (1A, IB) located in a predefined area and to locate said users (1A, IB) within said area (14, 54, 34) and so that each user (1A, IB) is able to send alarm messages and/or reguests for information or rescue to said company (200B) .

2. An electronic system as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that said electronic device (10, 50) is inserted into a Bluetooth headset (101A) wearable by the user (1A) or into a helmet (101B) usable for sports activities or for work by the user (IB) .

3. An electronic system as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that said electronic device (10) has a heart beat sensor (35) .

4. An electronic system as claimed in at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said user (1A, IB) is able to register him/her to said company (200B) by sending one or more voice messages via an Internet connection (16, 56) to said one or more server (201) of the company (200B) .

An electronic system as claimed in at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the user (1A, IB) receives said notifications and/or voice messages preceded by a predetermined acoustic signal identifying the type or the severity of said notifications and/or messages, via said speakers (17, 57) .

An electronic system as claimed in at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the user (1A, IB) is able to send notifications and/or messages to said company (200B) by acting on a button (201) of said electronic bracelet (200) , which activates said microphone (19, 59) of the electronic device (10, 50) .

7. An electronic system as claimed in at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said company (200B) transmits and receives information from institutions, entities, sports companies, associations, consortia, etc.

An electronic system as claimed in at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that when each system software detects identical data from the related gyro sensors (20, 36) present in the electronic bracelet (200) and in the electronic device (10, 50) , said system software verifies the data sent by the heart beat sensors (21, 35) , while, if different data coming from said gyro sensors (20, 36) are detected, said system software awaits for a voice message sent from the user (1A) for a help or rescue request to said company (200B) .

An electronic system as claimed in claims 2 and 8, characterized in that, when said heart beat sensors (21, 35) detect heart failure, the system software of said electronic device (10, 50) performs a further check using a motion sensor (18, 58) in contact with the body of the user (1A) or embedded within said helmet (101B) and, in case of lack of movement data, said software sends an emergency call using said SIM (15, 55) and said Internet connection (16, 56) of said electronic device (10, 50), while, if user movements (1A) are detected, said software system, after a predetermined time, sends an emergency call.

10. An electronic system as claimed in at least one of the preceding claims, characterized in that said electronic bracelet (200) is configured to operate for fitness activities, while said electronic device (10, 50) placed in a Bluetooth headset (100A) or in a wearable helmet (100B) can process the data received from the sensors contained in said headset (100A) or helmet (100B) for activating a black box function.

Description:
ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR PERSONAL SECURITY

The present invention refers to an electronic system for personal security during the user' s daily life, even during the working life and also during sports practices .

The user, after having registered his/her profile through a company that coordinates security information services and other types of information received from other institutional subjects and/or other companies, is thus able to:

- receive alerts of serious and dangerous events in progress and/or imminent dangerous events with respect to the user's position in a prefixed area;

send notices of serious and dangerous events in progress and/or imminent dangerous events with respect to the user's position in a prefixed area;

- request information of personal interest;

- send automatically or on request an emergency call in case of a collision and/or a fall and/or a physical illness and/or a serious accident.

The electronic devices used in the system according to the present invention are:

- a smart bracelet with an electronic circuit, a microprocessor, a Bluetooth, a GPS, a heart rate sensor, a gyroscope and a rechargeable battery, which is configured to send and receive information on personal safety;

- a headphone headset with an electronic circuit, a micro-processor, a Bluetooth, a GPS module with an Internet connection, a SIM, a heart rate sensor, a gyroscope, a motion sensor and a rechargeable battery. Alternatively, it is possible to use an electronic device placed on a helmet having an electronic circuit, a micro-processor, a Bluetooth, a GPS module with an Internet connection, a SIM, a speaker, a motion sensor, a microphone and a rechargeable battery.

The function of the above mentioned electronic devices and the related software which manages said devices is to allow a user, during his/her daily life, in some cases also during working and also during his/her sports practices, to have an advanced and simple system which is connected with a service (offered by a third company) for protecting his/her personal security (sending a danger "alert" in case of serious and dangerous events or accidents) and to better plan his/her sports and leisure activities and, finally, to have a system for a prompt activation of emergency (e- call) in case of a collision and/or fall and/or physical illness and/or serious accident.

The main object of the present invention is to offer to any person, during his/her daily life and also during working or during motion, on foot or on vehicles, and also when the person is practicing sports which involve the protective use of a helmet, a system for personal protection that does not need a smartphone (a device which is one of the more serious causes of accidents and deaths on the roads and in other situations) .

Another object of the present invention is to overcome the functional barriers often imposed by the different - -

operating systems of mobile devices ( smartphones ) , which often limit the functions of the APPs on the basis of the operating system used by the smartphone, while ensuring a series of absolutely identical services .

Another object of the present invention is to reduce the costs for users who nowadays must be equipped with multiple devices and multiple applications (APP) , which, more often than not, offer only a partial type of services and do not interact with other applications (APP) for giving connected services.

Another object is to use a highly effective Internet connection with low costs since the connection is used for "data only", thus reducing costs for the end user. Finally, a further object of the invention is to make available to all people a security system with respect to the problem of personal safety, which today is a factor of high importance in the world, due to the terrorism acts and climate changes.

Advantageously, the present invention relates to a personal safety system including two electronic devices connected to each other, which are managed by dedicated firmware and software, allowing the user:

- to receive and send notices relating to the personal safety during his/her daily and/or working life and also during sports activities,

to request and obtain information on activities during the free time and during sports activities which involve the use of a protective helmet, and to immediately alert the rescuers in case of a serious accident.

Further characteristics and advantages of the safety system, according to the present invention, will be more clear from the following description of an exemplary and preferred, but not limiting, embodiment of the system and from the attached drawings, in which:

- figure 1 shows the view of a typical user, who is going to couple a smart bracelet to the headphones with Bluetooth headsets in order to use the personal security system, according to the invention;

- figure 2 shows the view of a typical user, such as a motorcyclist, a worker, a cyclist, a free-rider or e- biker, a snow-border or a skier, who is going to couple the smart bracelet to the electronic system embedded in his/her helmet, in order to use the personal security system, according to the present invention;

- figure 3 shows the view of a typical user, such as a common person and/or a motorcyclist, a worker, a cyclist, a free-rider or e-biker, a snow-border, a skier, who is going to register his/her profile, through a procedure activated by the smart bracelet, at a company specialized in providing information services, thus implementing a procedure with voice messages and using an Internet connection, according to the present invention;

- figure 4 shows the view of the links established by the company specialized in providing information services with various institutions, bodies, companies, accommodation and sports facilities, etc., according to - -

the present invention;

figure 5 shows the view of a typical user, who automatically receives from the company specialized in providing information services alarms or "alerts" relating to serious dangers in the area in which the user is located, thanks to the geo-localization system; fig. 5 also shows the modalities with which the user is able to activate, through the smart bracelet, the security system, in order to send to the specialized company in providing information services alarm messages or requests of other information; the methods according to which the company specialized in providing information services is able to reply to requests for news and/or information, according to the invention, are also shown;

- figure 6 shows the view of a typical user, such as a motorcyclist, a worker, a cyclist, a free-rider or e- biker, a snow-border or a skier, who automatically receives from the specialized company in providing information services alarms related to serious dangers within the area in which the user is located, thanks to the advanced geo-localization system, and the ways in which the typical user can activate, through the smart bracelet, the system; how the system is able to send to the company specialized in providing information services alarm messages or requests for other information and the ways in which the company specialized in providing information services replies or not to said requests for information, according to the invention, are also shown; - -

figure 7 shows a schematic flow-chart of the activities of the system software for a typical user in case of collision, fall or more generally in case of accident in which the user is involved, thus allowing the activation of an emergency call (e-CALL) or a communication to the company specialized in providing information services, according to the invention;

figure 8 shows a schematic flow-chart of the activities of the system software for a typical user, such as a motorcyclist, a worker, a cyclist, a free- rider or e-biker, a snow-border or a skier, in case of collision, fall or more generally in case of accident in which the user is involved, thus allowing the activation of an emergency call (e-CALL) or a communication to a company specialized in providing information services, according to the invention.

With reference to the above mentioned figures, the personal electronic security system, according to the present invention, is based on two "smartphone-free" electronic devices and on continuous connections with the servers (201) of a company specialized in providing information services (200B) .

Said company is able to activate agreements of mutual interest and collaboration with institutions, bodies, sport-clubs, associations, consortia, etc. and, in particular, by way of example:

entities or departments or tourist offices or consortia of each region (301), of provinces (302) and of the relative municipalities (303) to manage information about cultural, sporting, food and wine events and/or local events, etc.;

- plants and/or consortia that manage lifts (401) in ski resorts in order to manage news and information on the state of the ski slopes, sporting events and/or competitions of different levels, availability of neighboring parking areas, lessons and timetable of ski schools (402) , information from sports equipment rentals (402), etc.;

- sport associations that manage plants and/or routes (404) for cyclists, e-bikers, free-riders, downhill bikers, motocross, foot-races, etc., to manage news and information on the state of the routes, sporting events and/or competitions of different levels, availability of adjacent parking lots, etc. ;

- museums (501), exhibitions (502), fairs (503) and other similar events, to manage news and information on dates, times, connected events, availability of adjacent parking lots, etc.;

- hotel (601), restaurants (602), agri-tourism and wine cellars (603) or other types of accommodation facilities, etc., to manage news and information on the availability of tables and/or rooms, availability of adjacent parking lots, etc.;

road companies such as ANAS and other motorways managers (701), regional coaches (702), subway and ferries (703), airports and railways (704), as well as companies performing works and maintenance of various infrastructures and plants (705), etc., to manage news and information on travel times, ticket prices, traffic conditions, work in progress, etc.; - operating levels of the Civil Protection (801), to manage news and information on meteorological alarms, natural disasters, serious events and accidents, etc.;

- operating levels of the Police (802), to manage news and information on incidents and attacks, etc.;

operating levels of First Aid Centers (803) , to manage news and information on accidents, attacks, etc . ;

individual citizens (804), to manage news and information on accidents and attacks, which are performing nearby.

Operatively, a typical user (1A) , equipped with a smart bracelet (200) and headphones with Bluetooth headsets (100A), is able to couple the two electronic devices (pairing) by means of a transmission between the related Bluetooth chips (13, 33), thus making the security system operational.

In particular, the smart bracelet (200) is equipped with a button (201) to manage the functions coordinated with the headset and with the Bluetooth headsets (100A) , a display (202) , an electronic device (30) including an electronic circuit (31) , a micro-processor (32), a Bluetooth chip (33), a GPS (34), a heart rate sensor (35) , a gyroscope (36) and a rechargeable battery (40); the headset with Bluetooth headsets (100A) has inside an electronic device (10) including an electronic circuit (11) , a micro-processor (12) , a Bluetooth chip (13), a GPS (14), a SIM (15) with Internet connection (16), a gyroscope (20), speakers (17), a microphone (19), a motion sensor (18), a heart rate sensor (21) and a rechargeable battery (40).

The smart bracelet (200) can also be coupled with an electronic device (50) placed on a helmet (100B) worn by the user (IB) for various sports activities (cycling, e-biking, free-riding, downhill, snowboarding, skiing) and/or for driving motorcycles or for working and comprises an electronic circuit (51), a micro-processor (52) , a Bluetooth chip (53) , a GPS (54), a SIM (55) with Internet connection (56), a gyroscope (60), speakers (57), a microphone (59), a motion sensor (58) and a rechargeable battery (40), and can be alternatively used by the user (1A) when the user (IB) use the helmet for sport or for work.

The user (1A, IB) proceeds to register with the company specialized in providing information services (200B) using the button (201) of the smart bracelet (200) , thus activating the microphone (19, 59) present in the two electronic devices (10, 50) of the headphones with Bluetooth headsets (100A) or of the helmet (100B) .

This operation will take place by sending one or more voice messages created by a voice assistant (similar to Siri© by Apple® or Cortana® by Google®) , via the Internet connection (16, 56), to the servers (201) of the specialized company in providing information services (200B) , thus making active the communication between the user (1A, IB) and the specialized company (200B) , in order to allow a positive and continuous connection between them during the activity.

Notifications and/or voice messages related to the security of all users (1A, IB) existing in a prefixed area can be sent by the company specialized in providing information services (200B) in case of serious accident, natural disasters, shootings, acts of terrorism, etc. and the same users (1A, IB) are identified - through a software operating at the servers (201) - by means of a geo-localization provided by the GPS chips (14, 54, 34) of the two devices (smart bracelet and earphones with headphones or helmet) worn by the user (1A, IB) this activity is automatically generated by a software operating at the servers (201) and the user (1A, IB) receives notifications and/or voice messages that are preceded by a pre-set acoustic signal identifying the severity of the message, through the speakers (17, 57) .

The user (1A, IB) can also send himself alarms to the company specialized in providing information services (200B) , by pressing the button (201) of the smart bracelet (200) which activates the electronic system on the two devices and, in particular, the microphone (19, 59) present in the electronic devices (10, 50) of the headphones with Bluetooth headsets (100A) or of the helmet (100B) . In this case, the company specialized in providing information services (200B) will be able to use it to activate, after the necessary checks with the public institutions (802, 801) , the above mentioned automatic alarms.

Users (1A, IB) may also send requests for news and/or information regarding their needs or interests (in relation to leisure time and/or sports activities) , which will be verified by the company specializing in providing services information (200B) , by using the news/information previously sent to them by institutions, bodies, sport clubs, associations, consortia, etc. (301, 302, 303, 401, 402, 403, 404, 501, 502, 503, 601, 602, 603, 701, 702, 703, 704, 705). The response to the user (1A, IB) will be preceded by a pre-set acoustic signal that identifies this type of message, which will be audible by the user (1A, IB) through the speakers (17, 57), while the user (1A, IB) is able to reply to the specialized company (200B) with a voice message of acceptance of the news/information, as soon as the user (1A, IB) is in a security situation (for example, if it is skiing, it can move to a safe area interrupting its activity) , in order to allow the specialized company (200B) to send the news/information to the user and/or to other users (1A, IB) through the speakers (17, 57).

The personal security system, which is the object of the present invention, is also able to automatically activate an emergency call (e-CALL) and the process is different for the user (1A) using the smart bracelet (200) and the Bluetooth headsets (100A) with respect to the user (IB) using the smart bracelet (200) and the helmet (100B) .

If the user (1A) is affected by a collision or a shock or any other physical illness, which is detected by one gyro-sensor (20, 36), the system software will compare it with the data of the other gyro-sensors (36, 20) ; if the data are identical (thus confirming a collision or any other physical illness) , the same software will - -

check the data sent by the heart rate sensors (21, 35) and, if both sensors detect no heart beats, the software will perform a last check using the motion sensor (18) present in the headset of the Bluetooth headsets (100A) and placed in contact with the user's body (1A) .

In case of lack of data related to movements of the user, the system will immediately send an emergency call to the nearest single-aid center (118) using the SIM (15) and the Internet connection (16), having detected that the user (1A) is in a serious physical situation or life threatening.

If different data are detected for the same type of sensor and user's movements (1A) are detected by the sensor (18) present in the headset of the Bluetooth headsets (100A) and placed in contact with the user's body (1A), the system software will wait for sending a voice message by the user (1A), through the microphone (19) , for a request for help or rescue to the company specialized in providing information services (200B) , which will assess the severity of the case and the type of assistance to be activated and/or to be sent.

In the case, however, said request is not carried out, within a maximum time of 1 minute, the system software will immediately send an emergency call to the nearest single-aid center (118) using the SIM (15) and the Internet connection (16), having noted that the user (1A) is in any case in a serious physical situation or life threatening; this double checking of data by identical sensors on the two electronic devices must be - -

made because the user (1A) is in environments with a multiple possibility of accidental events and environmental interference with respect to a sports user or a worker (IB) , which is in a more delimited environment and also protected by a helmet (100B).

If the sports user or worker (IB) is affected by a collision or physical impact, detected by one of the gyro-sensors (60, 36), the system software will compare it with the data of the other gyro-sensors (36, 60) and, if they are identical (thus confirming a collision or a bump or any other physical illness) , the same system software will check the data sent by the heart beat sensor (35) ; if the sensor detects no heart beats, the system software will perform a last check by using the motion sensor (58) present in the electronic device (50) embedded in the helmet (100B) and, if no data related to the user movements (IB) are detected, the system will immediately send an emergency call to the nearest single-aid center (118) using the SIM (55) and the Internet connection (56), since it has been verified that the user (IB) finds in a serious physical situation or life threatening.

If different data are detected by the two gyro-sensors (36, 60) and movements are detected by the motion sensor (58), the system software will wait for the user to send a voice message (IB), through the microphone (59) , for sending a possible request of help to the company specialized in providing information services (200B) , which will assess the severity of the case and the type of assistance to be activated and/or sent. - -

In the case, however, this request is not carried out, within a maximum time of 1 minute, the system software will immediately send an emergency call to the nearest single-aid center (118) using the SIM (55) and the Internet connection (56) , having noted that the user (IB) is in any case in a serious physical situation or life threatening.

The smart bracelet (200) is also able to operate as a single bracelet for fitness activities, thanks to its sensors, while the electronic devices (10, 50) present in the Bluetooth headsets (100A) or in the helmet (100B) are also able to process the data received from their sensors for activating a black box function.

The invention thus conceived and illustrated herein is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept of the appended claims .

Furthermore, all the details may be replaced by other technically equivalent elements; finally, the components used, so long as they are compatible with the specific use, as well as the dimensions, may be any according to requirements and to the state of the art. Where the characteristics and techniques mentioned in any claim are followed by reference marks, said reference marks have been inserted for the sole purpose of increasing the intelligibility of the claims and, consequently, said reference marks have no limiting effect on the interpretation of each element identified by way of example from said reference marks.
