Abstract:
Provided is an electronic thermometer, which facilitates the management of body temperature during a fever and facilitates understanding the trend in the changes to body temperature. The method of controlling the electronic thermometer includes a step of storing the measured body temperature data in association with the measurement time, a step of drawing a graph on the basis of the stored body temperature data (step S607), a step of determining whether the body temperature of the subject is rising or falling in view of the body temperature change of the subject on the basis of the drawn trend graph (step S603), and steps of estimating the maximum body temperature value of the subject and the time the maximum body temperature will be reached when it is determined that the body temperature is rising, and estimating the time when the body temperature of the subject will drop to a normal body temperature when it is determined that the body temperature is falling (steps S604 and S605).
