Disclosed is a production method for an electronic thermometer. The method comprises: a step whereby a first sub-assembly is formed by positioning and fixing a temperature sensor onto a print substrate by means of a lead wire; a step whereby a sub-case (50) is positioned and mounted onto an assembly base (102) by inserting a positioning reference pin (103), provided on the assembly base (102), into a positioning reference hole (58), provided in the sub-case (50); a step whereby a second sub-assembly, which includes the sub-case (50) and the first sub-assembly, is formed by positioning and attaching the first sub-assembly onto the sub-case (50), which is positioned and mounted onto the assembly base (102); and a step whereby the second sub-assembly is positioned and incorporated into a casing.
