Abstract:
This electronically controlled throttle device for an engine performs an opening/closing drive operation by transmitting the rotations of a motor (15) to a throttle valve (8) of a valve body (3) via a drive gear (16), an intermediate gear (17), a driven gear (14) and a throttle shaft (6), and is provided with a plate (22) on which an excitation conductor (23) and a signal detection conductor (24) are provided so as to face an excitation conductor (21) which rotates with the throttle shaft (6). The excitation conductor (23) and the signal detection conductor (24) are provided on the plate (22) in a location which is on the reverse intermediate gear (17) side from the axial line (L1) of the throttle shaft (6), and which corresponds to the angular region where the excitation conductor (21) changes positions in association with the rotation of the throttle shaft (6). The plate (22) is positioned so as to overlap the intermediate gear (17) in the throttle axis direction, and a first clearance part (25) for avoiding interference with the intermediate gear (17) is formed in the plate (22) while preserving the region where the excitation conductor (23) and the signal detection conductor (24) are formed.
