Abstract:
[Problem] To provide an electrophoresis apparatus and electrophoresis method that facilitate the quantitative handling of a sample and make analysis of the sample simple. [Solution] An electrophoresis apparatus (100) having: a first buffer tank (20) for storing a first buffer solution (21); a second buffer tank (30) for storing a second buffer solution (31); a migration path (13a) extending between the first buffer tank and the second buffer tank; a gel (50) disposed in the migration path; a first electrode (23) and a second electrode (33) that have a voltage applied therebetween and are electrically connected to the first buffer solution and the second buffer solution, respectively; a well (60) for accommodating a sample; and a discharge part (63) for discharging gas within the well to the outside of the well when the sample is inserted into the well.
