Abstract:
An electrophoretic display medium that is equipped with a barrier wall with less
tendency to be detached from substrate while restricting the voltage applied
to electrode; a process for producing the electrophoretic display medium; and
a relevant electrophoretic display apparatus. First, in an embossing step,
a shaping die with a shaping surface of uneven configuration is pressed against
a surface, opposite to a second substrate, of a first substrate before processing
to thereby shape the first substrate in accordance with the uneven configuration
of the shaping surface of the shaping die. In a subsequent die removing step,
the shaping die is detached from the first substrate. In an ensuing electrode
membrane forming step, common electrode (26) is formed at barrier wall absence
portion (21), where no barrier wall is erected, within the opposite surface (20)
of the first substrate (11) resulting from the die removing step.
