Abstract:
An electrophotography seamless belt having a uniform thickness is manufactured. A method for manufacturing an electrophotography seamless belt comprises a step of attaching a cylindrical preform made of a thermoplastic resin mixture and having an outside diameter a to a mold having a cylindrical cavity having an inside diameter b (where (b/a)≥1.7) and draw-blowing the preform at a drawing temperature T1 to form a draw-blowing molded item and a step of cutting the draw-blowing molded item to produce a seamless belt. A parameter S/P of thermoplastic resin mixture is determined from the tensile stress-strain curve drawn by subjecting a sheet-like test piece to a heat tensile test conforming to JIS K7161. The parameter S/P is 2.0 to 15.0 at temperature T2, and the drawing temperature T1 is made the temperature T2. In the parameter S/P, P is the stress of when the draw ratio of the test piece corresponds to 0.6×(b/a)’ if the draw ratio is 1 when the strain is 0, and S is the stress of when the draw ratio of the test piece corresponds to 1.6×(b/a).
