Abstract:
An electrophysiology catheter (100), comprising a distal catheter end (110). The distal catheter end (110) is provided with a pressure sensor (200). The pressure sensor comprises a flexible tube (210) and a strain gage (220). An external wall of the flexible tube (210) is provided with a perforated part. The strain gage (220) is provided in an area outside the perforated part. By comparing a strain gage (220) disposed at a non-perforated area of the flexible tube (210) of the pressure sensor with a strain gage (220) disposed in a perforated area, an electric signal collected from the strain gage (220) achieves a high level of accuracy and is subject to less interference. The invention greatly improves the accuracy for measuring a contact force of the distal catheter end (110).
