Abstract:
An electrostatic atomizing device comprising: an atomizing electrode (2); a cooling means that causes water to condensate by cooling the atomizing electrode (2); and a voltage application means that applies a voltage to the water held by the atomizing electrode (2) and generates charged particulate water. The cooling means has a pair of thermoelectric elements (4,41, 4,42) and an electricity supply path through which electricity is provided to the thermoelectric elements (4,41, 4,42). Each end section (6) of the thermoelectric elements (4,41, 4,42) is mechanically and electrically connected to side circumferential surfaces (26, 28) of the atomizing electrode (2), and the electricity supply path including the atomizing electrode (2) and the thermoelectric elements (4,41, 4,42) is formed. As a result of this configuration, the atomizing electrode can be efficiently cooled and the entire electrostatic atomizing device can be made compact.
