Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrostatic charging device (32A) for an image forming device (1), and in the electrostatic charging device, air not containing dusts is sucked from the outside of an image forming unit (101) by means of an air current generating device (632A), and the air current is directed to an inlet port (524A) formed in the bottom surface (521A) of a case (52A) via a flow channel (43A). The air current taken into the case (52A) from the inlet port (524A) is led to the leading end portion (531A) of a discharge electrode (53A) by means of a guide plate (56A) and an air barrier (57A), and the air current passes the leading end portion (531A), then, passes through an air release duct (62A) from the opening (520A) of the case (52A), and is released to the outside of the image forming unit (101) through an outlet port (63A).
