Abstract:
An electrostatic detection device (20) comprises an electrostatic detection module (28) that, on the basis of changes in the capacitance of an electrode (23), detects a user operation in which the electrode (23) contacts or approaches a human body. The electrostatic detection module (28) switches the working state of the electrode (23) in alternation between a driven state, in which capacitance detection is executed on the electrode (23), and a non-driven state, in which capacitance detection is not executed on the electrode (23). If the electrode (23) has entered the non-driven state, an assessment unit (35) monitors the voltage of the electrode (23) to assess whether or not an antenna (17) that communicates with a user terminal (2) is being driven. The electrostatic detection module (28) executes detection of user operations on the basis of assessment results from the assessment unit (35).
