Abstract:
An electrostatic precipitator of a simple structure and with a small space by
which high dust collection performance can be ensured, discharge scale can be
reduced stably at all times, and continuation of discharge state can be detected
and dealt with appropriately. The electrostatic precipitator comprises a charging
section (4) having an ionization wire (2) and an ionization electrode (3) for
charging fine particles in the air by corona discharge, and a dust collecting
section (8) where dust collection electrode plates (5) and dust collection counter
electrode plates (6) for capturing charged fine particles by Coulomb force are
arranged alternately while spaced apart equally by means of spacers (7). An extension
piece (9) is provided at the end portion, spaced apart from the center on one side,
of the dust collection electrode plate (5). Under a state where a plurality of
dust collection electrode plates (5) are arranged, the extension pieces (9)
are located alternately each at the end portion, spaced apart from the center
on one side, of the dust collection electrode plate (5) and connected with the
dust collection power supply (10a) of a high voltage power supply (10). Consequently,
the interval between both electrode plates (5, 6) can be shortened, discharge
scale can bereduced with a reduced space, and high dust collection performance
can be ensured.
