Abstract:
An electrostatic precipitator includes a housing, a high tension circuit, electrically
conductive plates (21,22,23,24,25,31,32,33,34), and a high tension ionization
electrode (1). The electrically conductive plates are arranged parallel within
the housing, and each group of plates which are arranged alternately and side-by-side
in spaced-apart relationship are connected electrically. The high tension
circuit is connected electrically with the high tension ionization electrode
(1), and the electrically conductive plates are divided into a first group of
GND plates and a second group of charging plates. The first group of GND plates
and the second group of charging plates are arranged alternately. Two GND plates
arranged at outer sides have extended portions (211,251), and the high tension
ionization electrode (5) is arranged centrally and parallel with the plates
within the space defined by the extended portions (4), thereby creating an ionization
space corresponding to said space when operates, wherein the front edges of the
charging plates are projected into the ionization space. Based on the principle
of charge adsorption, the charging plates can be charged, therefore it is unnecessary
that applying 40kV to the charging plates additionally, thus arrives at the simplification
of configuration and the reduction of cost due to one high tension circuit can
be removed. In addition, the electrostatic precipitator is much safer because
the electrically conductive plates need not be applied with high tension.
