Abstract:
An electrostatic separator (1) comprises an imaging part (60) for imaging falling plastic pieces (10). Unlike, for example, a load cell, the imaging part (60) can observe the falling plastic pieces (10) without being in contact with the same and therefore does not require maintenance due to contact with the plastic pieces (10). In addition, an image obtained by imaging the plastic pieces (10) by the imaging part (60) is binarized, and the weight ratio of the plastic pieces (10) in the image is calculated. Accordingly, maintenance is not required and a falling distribution of the plastic pieces (10) which is based on weight information can be generated.
