Abstract:
Provided are a configuration of an element, allowing the center of gravity of the element to be adjusted without a reduction in the strength of the element, and a method of manufacturing the element.
The thickness of an element (24) is formed in such a manner that the further away from a ring containing recess (32), the less the thickness of the element, and this allows the center (G) of gravity of the element (24) to be shifted to the body section (26) side with the strength of the element (24) maintained at a sufficient level. The configuration increases the load acting on the element (24), but the element (24) can take the load because the element (24) has a sufficient strength. Accordingly, even if the load acting on a belt (10) for a stepless transmission increases, the belt (10) can take the load.
