Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of improving electric power cost by improving the motor operating point when there is a gear change request during regenerative deceleration. The drive system from the driving source to the driving wheels is provided with a motor generator (MG) for performing regeneration during deceleration and an automatic transmission (3) having an engagement clutch (8c) as a gear change element. The electric automobile has a gear change request assessment step (S1), a gear change permission-determining step (S4), and a gear change initiation step (S5). Step (S1) assesses whether or not the gear change request during regenerative deceleration is a gear change such that the disengagement element/engagement element in the substitution gear change is the engagement clutch (8c). When the gear change request is determined to be one that uses the engagement clutch (8c) as a disengagement element/engagement element, step (S4) determines whether to permit the gear change on the basis of the magnitude of the regenerative torque. Step (S5) initiates the gear change according to the gear change request if a determination is made to permit the gear change.
