Abstract:
A gate operating device having a door body of a gate installed in a water channel and an operating means operating the door body in vertical direction, characterized by comprising a pressure receiving plate installed on the door body through an operating bar, upper and lower side air bags disposed on the upper and lower sides of the pressure receiving plate, an air compressor for feeding air to each of the upper and lower side air bags, and a selector valve and a flow control valve disposed between the upper and lower air bags and the air compressor and switching or regulating the air fed to the upper and lower air bags, wherein compressed air is fed to the air bags to move the pressure receiving plate so as to move the door body in vertical direction in order to open and close the door body, whereby a mechanism can be extremely simplified because air is used as media and the operating bar is driven by the pressure of the air fed to the air bags.
