Abstract:
An elevator apparatus, wherein a car guide rail guiding the lifting of a car is installed in a hoistway. A car guide shoe engaged with the car guide rail is mounted on the car. A recessed part is formed in the wall part of the car within the perpendicularly projected area of the car, and at least a part of the car guide shoe is disposed in the recessed part.
