Abstract:
Disclosed is an elevator apparatus that includes an electric emergency stopping device, that is capable of reducing occupied space, and that is suited for space saving. This elevator apparatus includes: an emergency stopping device (200) provided on an elevator car; and a drive mechanism (100) that drives the emergency stopping device. The drive mechanism includes: a lever part (12) that is rotatably supported, is connected to the emergency stopping device, and actuates the emergency stopping device; a movable member (34); a link part (11) that is rotatably supported, engages with a drive lever part, and is rotatably connected to the movable member; a spring part (14) that urges the link part such that the link part rotates; and an electromagnet part (35) that attracts the movable member in a stand-by state. In the stand-by state, the link part rotates due to the urging force of the spring part when excitation of the electromagnet part is stopped, and, when the lever part rotates due to the rotating link part, the emergency stop device is actuated.
