Abstract:
The present invention provides an elevator brake device, in which a function for automatically adjusting the gap between a braking member and an object to be braked can be easily added to an existing brake device. This elevator brake device is provided with a cam mechanism and an engagement position adjustment mechanism. The cam mechanism has: a lever which swings interlocked with the movement of a plunger; a connecting member which moves interlocked with the movement of an arm; and an engagement member which is attached to the lever, engages with a portion to be engaged of the connecting member, and connects the lever and the arm. The cam mechanism transmits, to the arm, the movement of the plunger in the protruding direction while an excitation coil is actuated, and transmits, to the plunger, the arm movement, which is in the direction of contact with the object to be braked, while the excitation coil is not actuated. The engagement position adjustment mechanism disengages the engagement member from the portion to be engaged when the connecting member moves a set distance while the excitation coil is not actuated, and engages the engagement member with the portion to be engaged when the plunger starts to move while the excitation coil is actuated.
