Abstract:
Provided is an elevator car door device configured so as to reliably prevent a car door from being pried open. This elevator car door device is provided with: a latch lever rotatably attached to a door hanger; a catch attached to a door frame; a first stopper in contact with the latch lever to define the unlocked position of the latch lever; a spring for biasing the latch lever in an unlocking direction; and a balance weight attached to the latch lever. Until the acceleration of the car door when the car door is opened from a fully closed state reaches a set value, first moment caused by the biasing force of the spring is greater than second moment caused by an inertia force acting on the balance weight. When the latch lever is retained at the unlocked position and the acceleration becomes higher than or equal to the set value, the second moment becomes greater than the first moment, and the latch lever rotates in a locking direction to engage with the catch, thereby preventing the car door from opening.
