Abstract:
In an elevator car handrail device, a first handrail and a second handrail provided on an upper part of the car are separated from one another in the depthwise direction. In the first handrail, a first movable handrail member is displaceable between a first low handrail position and a first high handrail position higher than the first low handrail position. In the second handrail, a second movable handrail member is displaceable between a second low handrail position and a second high handrail position higher than the second low handrail position. The first and second movable handrail members are connected to one another via a harness. Due to the first movable handrail member being displaced from the first low handrail position to the first high handrail position while pulling the second movable handrail member via the harness, the second movable handrail member is displaced from the second low handrail position in a direction approaching the second high handrail position.
