Abstract:

An elevator car rescue device has a pivoting cover, a rescue ladder, and an attachment/detachment device. The pivoting cover is pivotable between a facing position at which the cover faces a rescue opening formed in a ceiling wall of a car room and an open position at which the cover is located below the facing position and opens the rescue opening to the inside of the car room. The rescue ladder is placed between the pivoting cover and the ceiling wall and is a separate body from the pivoting cover. The attachment/detachment device attaches and detaches the rescue ladder to and from the pivoting cover. The rescue ladder is pivoted together with the pivoting cover when the ladder is installed on the pivoting cover by the attachment/detachment device.
