Abstract:

A passenger position tracking device (10) stores a destination floor registered at an elevator boarding area (1) by a boarding area destination floor registration device (3) and image features of a passenger photographed by a camera (4) in the boarding area in correspondence with each other. When the passenger gets on an elevator cage (2), features of the passenger photographed by a camera (6) in the cage is verified with the image features photographed by the camera (4) in the boarding area. If the features are matched with each other, then the passenger in the cage is made correspond to the destination floor. In addition, the passenger position tracking device (10) tracks the position of the passenger in the cage in real time by using the camera (6) in the cage and, when the elevator cage (2) lands at the destination floor, determines whether the passenger who gets off at this floor is positioned on the back or front side of the cage. If the passenger is positioned on the back side, an announcement is made notifying that a passenger on the back side will get off.
