Abstract:
In the present invention, the following are provided: a rotation speed detector that outputs a rotation speed which is in accordance with the rotation of a governor; a landing plate detector that, in conjunction with the movement of the elevator car, detects landing plates that are provided in accordance with each floor position; and a controller that controls the operation of the elevator on the basis of the detection results of the rotation speed detector and the landing plate detector. The controller includes the following: a first-remaining-distance calculation unit that calculates, as a first remaining distance, the remaining distance until a target floor, such calculation performed on the basis of the rotation speed; a second-remaining-distance calculation unit that calculates, as a second remaining distance, the ideal remaining distance from the state where the landing plate was detected to when the car stops at the target floor; an extension and retraction estimation unit that estimates the amount of extension of a governor rope from the differential value between the first remaining distance and the second remaining distance; and an extension and retraction correction unit that corrects the first remaining distance by adding a correction value calculated on the basis of the estimated extension amount.
